The name of Tres Roses comes from a legend during the time in which the Arabs dominated Andalusia some 700 years ago. The Kingdoms were constantly at war. The King of Jimena lost the battle against the terrible Tarik and he feared for his daughters lives.
The King took them and hid them in the farm where horses were bred. There the three girls grew up safely and as time passed the younger of the daughters married the new King's son.

On the foundations of the house where the princesses lived a new farm has been built and this is known as Three Roses Polo Farm, It is a tradition that the owners of this house have a duty that is to look after the rose bushes in remembrance of the princesses.

Due to the perfect climate in this area it allows the facilities of the Polo and Equestrian Club to be enjoyed throughout the year. Your stay will be enhanced by the beauty of the surrounding countryside including the Hozgartanta river that flows along the farm situated in The Nature reserve of the Alcornacles. The Nature reserve is over 40,000 hectares.

All this is just 20 minutes from Gibraltar airport.
